We are proud to announce the new V2 Swage It Primer Pocket Swager for the Dillon XL650 bullet press. Included is the mount, the small primer pin, and mounting hardware. Everything that you need to swage .223, .308, or any other calibers that utilize small or large primers. The V2 swager has been redesigned to drastically reduce any mount movement while swaging as well as some other minor design improvements.

Whats Different Between Version 1 vs Version 2?

On our original mount there were just 2 holes drilled into the mount and it would be attached by machine screws with locking washers. For most people that worked well but some complained that the mount would loosen while swaging. On the mount we have drilled and countersunk the holes as deep as we could to do 2 things. 1. By using the largest head sized tapered screws that we could source, the surface area of the tapered head will lock down the mount far better than the original design and 2. By going as deep as we could go with the taper, we are virtually eliminating any flex from the screws. Combine that with lowering the mounting holes by 0.010, the mount will lock into place securely with very little flex or movement.

Below are the list of benefits using our swager.

  • Machined from billet aerospace stainless steel.
  • Heat Treated / Hardened to ensure longevity.
  • Will not rust like tool steel.
  • Properly re-sizing primer pockets can be achieved because our swager is frame mounted.
  • You will never experience the swaging pin sticking inside the primer pocket or hitting the shell plate.
  • No need to remove the rotary primer disk which means that you can swage in a matter of minutes without the need of time consuming disassembly of the primer system.
  • The easiest setup available.
  • Engineered to properly swage on the Dillon XL650.
  • Our swager actually re-sizes the primer pocket and adds the correct fillet.
  • Use your case feeder and swage over 1000 rounds per hour.
  • Proudly Made In The USA!
  • Patent Pending.

You will not be disappointed in the Swage It S650. We back our products by an unconditional lifetime warranty. If your swager breaks or wears out, just send it back to us and we will send you another free of charge!

    Works as advertized

Hand swagging is a pain adn time consuming. I did not realize this product was available and I randomly Googled "Swagger for DIllon 650" and bang, this product came up. It came in 2 days and took 2 minutes to install. It is a finely machined component and is actually pretty. When you push the Dillon handle forward (same movement as priming) you can feel the punch enter the shell. When you pull pack, it hangs a bit, bit I guess that is part of the swage. I have only used small punch and only on 223 so far. Some are easy and some require more handle pressure. I began putting a small bit of Imperial Case Lube on the punch every 8-10 rounds and that makes the task easier. Since I deprime and resize first, then steel pin tumble, I am not worried about "grease" in my primer pocket. The company says that this is no more of a strain on the 650 than pushing the primers. So far I like this thing, it has taken hours off of my reloading. Anxious to see what the bigger punch does with 308. You do have to check the mounting screw tighness every so often.

    Worked perfectly

Posted by COReloader on Apr 9th 2018

I had about 1K .223 brass mostly prepared when I ordered the Swage It. I deprimed/sized about 700 of them before the Swage It arrived. I watched the short video, installed it and went to work. I deprimed/sized and swaged 200 rounds, then removed the Swage It and loaded the rounds in an hour! The following day I removed the tool head and only swaged the brass I had prepped. I Swaged just over 700 brass in one hour. This tool is exactly what I was looking for to reduce brass prep time. No issues with depth of Swage, or primers not seating fully or looking like they were crammed in. Getting the feel of the brass as you Swage is different but easy pick up on.

    perfect addition to 650

Posted by Unknown on Jan 24th 2018

When reviewing my reloading efficiency I decided to break rifle processing into brass prep and reloading. I use a lot of crimped brass so my swage step needed a serious upgrade to eliminate touching every piece. This tool is the perfect addition to my bench and enabled me to process 500 30-06 cases in an hour.

    Great!

Fast delivery, just a couple days after I purchased them. Easy install and easy to use. Helps with 45 ACP too, I use the large primer tool, and if it doesn't 'feel' right, I know I have a small primer pocket and I eject that one out and move on. Easier than sorting by hand.

    Works, but adjustment needed

Posted by Dave on Jun 7th 2017

Set up was easy enough, worked great for about 100 rounds, then the press stopped at near bottom of the stroke. the SwagIt was hitting the shell plate. I removed it and reinstalled again lining it all up properly and again after about 100 rounds it did the same thing. I just barely touched the Swage it and found that it had a slight wiggle play to it back and forth until it dropped into the hole properly. I removed the unit and found the same play between the e-clip and the tool. I removed the e-clip and installed the spare that came with the package. Still some wiggle. There was not enough room to install both. I found a small washer and installed that on the tool and was able to install the e-clip tighter on the tool. I then reinstalled it to the pres and have run another couple hundred now without issue. I would have preferred to see tool head thread into the plate/bracket with the adjustment on the bolts. just my two cents. There is not much room for play lining up the primer pockets/shell plate hole. I would however recommend this unit as it has great reduced my case prep time. I can now FL size in station one, Swage in two, trim/chamfer in station3 with Lee Quick Trim Die. and done. I can do about 50 in 10 minutes.

Love it! Make sure Shell plate has proper spacing before starting.

    Posted by fafarone@aol.com on May 15th 2017

I'd give it five stars but have not started priming the brass. I resized/decapped and swaged 1800 RD's in two hours on my new Dillon XL650 but I will caution NEW Dillon XL650 users that you must make sure that you have a minimal amount of spacing beneath the shell plate disc. I'm new to the press and realized my mistake halfway through so I had to take out the resizing die and slightly tighten down the main screw on the shell plate holder disc just to run the shells back through the swagger. There was a good amount of them that did not get fully swaged the first time. They are now done and ready for case length cutting. Then I can't wait to get the Dillon XL650 "Rockin & Rollin". I'll keep you posted.
